Computers for Beginners
This course will be starting again in the Teeling Centre on Monday nights, 6pm to 8pm. This is an ideal course for those who wish to take their first steps towards getting to know and use computer. The course is structured as follows:
Week 1.
Identyfiying the different parts of a computer
Exporing the computer desktop
Creating an Email account
Week 2.
Proper file management & good computer practice
Safe Internet browsing & downloading
Sending & Receiving Emails
Week 3.
Uploading Images from a camera/disk/pen drive
Attaching and sending images/files with an email
Opening & Saving file/image attachments
Week 4.
Dealing with everyday computer problems
Web cams, Skype, Msn etc
Facebook & Twitter Accounts
Week 5.
Review & Revision of the first 4 weeks
Week 6.
Exploring Microsoft Office (Word)
Creating, Saving & Editing a Document (C.V.)
Week 7.
Adding images to documents in word
Formatting text, colour, size, font etc
Printing documents
Week 8.
Exploring Microsoft Office (Excel)
Creating, Saving and Editing a simple
Week 9.
Creating a simple household budget Document in excel
Week 10.
Review & Test of course work to date.
